Building a Brand from the Ground Up
For nearly a decade, I've led marketing at Makpar, a federal IT company operating in the competitive GovCon space. I built the marketing function from scratch: the content engine, the visual identity, the thought leadership strategy, the internal culture programming, and the social media presence. Everything.
In GovCon, LinkedIn is the industry's primary professional platform. It's where federal leaders, agency decision-makers, and prime contractors discover and evaluate vendors. Building a credible, consistent presence there isn't optional. It's how trust gets built before anyone picks up the phone.
In 2025, I led Makpar's full rebrand. New website, new messaging framework, new brand voice, new visual system, new templates across every touchpoint. The result? Measurable, compounding growth across every channel.

Built and maintained a content engine producing 50+ SEO-optimized blogs per year (260+ total), driving 100–200% year-over-year web traffic growth and establishing Makpar as a trusted voice in federal IT modernization.
Led Makpar's 2025 rebrand end-to-end. Messaging framework, visual identity, website, templates, and internal rollout. Delivered brand clarity that directly drove measurable audience engagement growth.
Grew Makpar's LinkedIn from 607 to 1,460 followers with a 9.7% engagement rate, outperforming the 2.5–3% GovCon industry benchmark. Developed thought leadership content strategy for executive social presence reaching 24K+ members.
Tracked and supported attendance at 30 industry events in 2025, plus 6 sponsorships and 2 panel speaker opportunities. Developed post-event content for team members to share on LinkedIn, turning industry presence into measurable engagement. Event posts outperformed standard content by 2x. Also supported an op-ed placement in Real Clear Policy reaching policy influencers nationally.
Produced Makpar's brand video, a full-company narrative piece that drove 35% higher engagement and 25% longer watch time than previous videos. Managed a series of LinkedIn video clips that generated 1,773+ total views.
Designed and ran Makpar's internal engagement programming. All-hands events, knowledge shares, volunteer days, and culture awards. Sustained 34–45% average company-wide turnout through government shutdowns and organizational change.
